Something else I'll gladly live without as I will never ever ever have a spotify account. I’ve maybe used Spotify a grand total of 40 mins, but I’ve recently noticed a couple of podcasts that look interesting to me that are Spotify-only.

I don't need Spotty-fye to "explain" things to me. I get more than enough of their lies in the normal media.
"Hey Loocie, you got some 'splainin' to do!"

I’m not sure what Spotify is making up...
I get the payment backlash but digital streaming isn’t going away. Get on board or step aside. That’s just the reality of the situation at this point in time.
This isn’t to say I agree with the payment structure. But it’s the same as saying computer recording is crap. That’s fine and all, but tape machines are a thing of the past and will be completely gone in what.. 20 years? Complaining about reality isn’t going to change it.

By no means was my initiation of this thread meant as a defense of Spotify. I was merely saying, "hey, this might be an interesting podcast to listen to about one of my favorite decades of music. Maybe some of you would like it, too!"
Spotify is trying to diversify its content by adding things like podcast exclusives with particular podcast incubators (like The Ringer network in this case). Me, I'm an Apple Music subscriber, so I have to listen to ads if I want to listen to something on Spotify.

Tidal it just sounds better. Yeah, but with Apple Music, Søren (at age 4 now) can walk up to our Apple HomePod and say, "Hey Siri: play 'You Can Call Me Al' by Paul Simon Live Concert Version!" And Siri does it.
This occurs approximately 14 times every day.
Hey wait, come to think of it, maybe Tidal's not such a bad idea...
