Getting there on install. Man, cabling takes a bit. Mislabeled a few things, so added effort to it. Loving the color and how it reflects on the gear. Going to be interesting to take some measurements of the room when it's all in place. The lower stance of the desk and 40mm increased width will definitely do something. Just hope it's not too different. Edit: With the increased width between the sides, gotta figure out the monitor arm. Liking the placement overall though. . Dude. This is fantastic. Choice gear as well.

Lot of effort and a bit of cable cleanup left to do, but just stoked about how this all turned out. Color looks killer in person and the lower form factor I think will work so much better in the room. Before: After:

Looks massively more functional. And the original wasn't something to sneeze at. Congrats (and jealous)!

Nice! I've built my own desk and rack too. Went fancy with a solid walnut top on the desk with an oil finish. Then totally cheaped out and left the rack unfinished. Also, pocket screws for the win!

Here we go. I dug up an old photo of the finished desk before dragging it into the house.

I took inspiration from a sterling modular plan b desk and just modified a bunch of stuff. It's a bit lower as I don't like standard height desks and also not as deep. The space between pods was sized to fit an avid s3 (which I never bought ). And the rest is just open with no panels covering anything up as I wanted to just keep it as simple as possible.

I'm sure that walnut looks amazing in person as well. Nice job, man.

Wish I was this handy. Honestly, this really might be something I’d be interested in getting into. Because you need another expensive persuit ! Seriously my wife will tell you she worries more about me stopping at Woodcrafters or the specialty hardware store down the street than a trip to VK! In fact I am not allowed to walk into the place down the street with a credit card!

Bat, I dig the little wing shelf you added for the Zulu! A ton of great gear there.
