Got the j109 fets today and put them in. Noise and gain are now the same on both channels. I suppose i either damaged one putting it in, or it was bunk to start.
Just have to figure out the meter issue and then calibrate!

So the tracks in my indie song thread have the 2254/33609 on the 2 bus..
It's not calibrated but i turned knobs til it sounded good.

They weren't done in any form that would be easy for someone to build a unit, and in all honesty I'd have to do a lot of support for the person who tried, which I don't have time for. The 33609/2254 hybrid is not an easy beast to build or work on! Sorry.
