Or maybe 18x36 so that you have two on one board. board..... board is a funny-looking word.
......aaannd that's enough homebrew for me.

That's what they say on the site, but that's only if you want the edges of the back board to be the same as those of the blocks. You could make it wider/taller if you wanted to make it easier to mount or something without it affecting the sound, which they also mention..

No hate here. Looks good to me. How much did it cost you, and how heavy is it?

Q the streamers, balloon release and triumphant big band music!!!! Great job JK! I knew u could do it, next comes the iron! How u liking the sound? U can hear it when u play/sing in front of it, but it's more evident with a mic capture ime svart 22.4 lbs, under $30 each I believe.

Thank you thank you. So where should I put it? Behind me when I sing?

Thank you thank you. So where should I put it? Behind me when I sing? just do some experimenting, i usually stick them around the back of the mic(not too close), great for figure of 8, omni, and even with a cardioid pattern, as you know it still totally picks up. The sparkle effect is subtle, but beautiful ime, this is one of those strange cases where the benefit of a piece is not near as obvious to your ears in the room, as it is once it hits tape. let us know what you find out bromee.

My little singing area is dead with absorption. Wondering whether I should take some of the absorption down and replace with the monster. Probably need to build another one.

Ur smarter than the average bear, i didn't want to suggest that right after you built this one, but yes, a few of these, and you really start hear a big diff, but one is still quite effective if you place it nicely.

You're gonna laugh, but I did this with a circular saw...and I ain't doing that shit again. Just gonna have to invest in a mitre.

@tonycamp should I replace some of the absorption with these? I could use the absorption behind my desk, actually...

Yeah, rear wall is a common place for diffusion. Move the absorption to behind your desk and over it, if you haven't already done that.

I'd love to hear what it sounds like in Blackbirds room that has the smaller type from floor to ceiling, on every freaking wall. I bet that room sounds like it's twice it's size and the imaging in it must be incredible. This is just unreal.....

I've had a couple of things mixed in that room...spent a day in there once. Honestly, it's a little disconcerting. You never feel the thump of the bottom end...it's kind of weird. Looks cool as hell though...

Looks good John! Ill say it again if your going to build a bunch, build a reverse diffuser as a jig and I would rather use a small bandsaw for this than miter!

Wouldn't the chop saw with a stop block be the best bet? ...obviously I'm not a carpenter.

If you build an inverse diffusor(you need at least one inverse of these for every 6 standards that you build, or you get what is called frequency "lobe-ing"), you can put the blocks agains the inverse blocks, and combined, it should make a perfect big square block, then you could apply glue on the back plate, and set it on the top of the whole block, and flip it over, let it dry, and pull the 2 diffusors apart. at least that is what i think Eric's saying? i personally would just set up a square 90 degree fence(back stops) and glue one at a time for tidiness, and clarity sake.
