Interesting would you mind elaborating further on deprivation/ feasibility? I don’t think the MK3 changed much just stronger power supply / more headroom I believe Yes it's pretty much the same thing, except what you said (and the faceplate is slick in black). It's a bit like a one stop shop, this box. And I was already interested in buying more specialized gear. RGO people talked about units that try to do everything at once, a few days ago, this box is in this category. Good or bad, it depends on you ! It does the bass, the highs, it saturates, it widens... what is there left to do then ^^'. Now another way to see it, is you can use it on a secondary group that needs a lot of love, and you can't justify using all your best units on it. Like the synth buss for example. It could be killer there. I'll say this : I liked what it does to the bass and the widener. It is NOT a bad unit. It could be perfect for someone else. does it really saturate? i don‘t think so. the drive knob is really just a gain knob or almost a mix (dry/wet) knob.

I'm not sure, but it felt like it. Quicky felt "loaded". Result of the curve, and the bass energy maybe. With the higher headroom, it might sound different now.
The manual is interesting.
Argh I want it again.

So you get the feeling that it’s saturating but realistically it’s not a saturation unit. That said it CAN add subtle “saturation” effects due to the psychoacoustic nature of the device. Using just the drive and process knobs you can get different results.

I realized I never mentioned my mix bus chain. I mix into an RND Shelford Diode Bridge Compressor, which is followed by a Bereich03 BAX EQ. I usually bypass the EQ for most of the mix and add it later, but the compressor is always in.
I find I go to the compressor a few different times, to see what might change with different settings. It's a pretty powerful unit, so I can be gentle or more aggressive and all stops in between.
The EQ is 3 bands, each selectable as stereo, mid or side. I usually only do a db of cut or boost and almost wish I had gone for the .5 db switches, instead of 1 db.
