Hey, John, I went back and checked. I did have poly webs 80/20 bronze on the J-50. Should I try the nano webs?

Tried elixirs for the first time on my 68 Gibson sj-50. I really wanted to like them. As advertised, they kept the same tone for months. Too bad that tone was like a lightweight blanket over the guitar. Maybe it's because my Gibby is so well balanced top to bottom, but the elixirs just took away the sparkle. So, it's back to Martin Marquis. They're only recordable for about two weeks, but oh, what a tone! Nanowebs? Or Polyweb? Big difference. Hey, John, I went back and checked. So, I took the behind the scenes tour at the Martin factory. It's fantastic. I highly recommend it! They give you ten percent off , so I bought some Martin coated strings. In a few days, I will get a chance to put them on and report back. Should be fun to compare to the nanos.
