Yeah...you don't need the powered one unless you want to use it with a cabinet. You guys downloaded Rig Manager 2? It's got some great free amp collections in there. There's one in the Vintage collection...Some 1946 amp that is just killlller. I haven't really went through them, but do you have a favorite VOX preset?

I haven't downloaded any updates as my interface just crapped out a few days back. Luckily, still under warrenty.

Any of you guys using the remote with the Kemper? Thoughts?

I have the remote and it is really designed well. The looper is also easy to use, but does not give you a lot of time. If I were currently playing out, I would be using it a lot. As it is, since I've been using the Kemper for recording only, the remote does not get much use right now. Nevertheless, I still don't regret the purchase.

I loaned my kemper to a bandmate the last couple of weeks. Just got it back tonight.
He's now mad at me because he's addicted and has to find a way to buy one.

There's one from The Amp Factory called Topboost or something. Pretty bright but I really like it. You might have to adjust the definition parameter within the Amplifier button. Top Jimi has a JMI vox that sounds pretty good. Early Chimy top boost

So... I have a few amps. A buddy of mine has a Kemper and he wants to come over to my studio and 'profile' all my amps.
How does one save these profiles so they can be shared? Cause, I'd just put them on a google drive and share with you all

Kemper has USB-A on the back for OS and profile storage and USB-B for syncing with computer for librarian duties and firmware updates.
The profile files for each instance are only 4k of data. Parameters essentially. There's no samples of any kind. You'd just copy the profiles from the amps at your place, and post them here or from Google. Maybe John would let you post on the board. The files are minuscule.

Thank you donr. They are some mighty fine amps... a horde of old Marshalls, Voxes, Fenders, Magantones and newer Dr. Zs

Hell yeah! start a new thread in this forum and I'll sticky. Will do... it just won't happen very soon. It'll probably be a month before we get around to it. And I may only get some done. But I WILL do this one.

so i just picked up a kemper. curious if you guys feel like the headphone output is low output. mine certainly seems to be. to the point of being uninspired. i plug it into my interface which has a great headphone amp and i get some fantastic tones.

hold down the "output" knob and scroll through the parameters. I think there's a HP parameter in there somewhere.

a couple years ago, the guy who runs jrrshop would hook you up with B-stock versions for like 13-1400 if you messaged him thru the uadforums forum. not sure if that's still the case. I didn't have money at the time (still don't), otherwise I would have scooped one up.

It's $2375 CDN at Moog Audio. I got mine at L&M for $1800, but that was before the Canadian dollar sunk to peso levels.
