I am finding that I like the Luna sound with the tape sims and summing emulations. Workflow is not to afar from the others so pretty easy to use.
The question for me is project managment.
1) I like to save versions and be able to see those saved project files. Lune doesn’t seem to do that even when using versions feature.
2) My project/session file is 20GB? does this mean the session file stores the audio files within it? Seems to suggest that
Can anyone speak to these things? Thanks

I did accidently just learn I can right click on session name and choose a version. That works. I previously coiuldn’t see the versions. Seems crazy though that audio is in the session file. Silly I didn’t look at that until now. Seems it would make exporting audio tough but coul dbe easy to manage within luna.

Here's how I do it... and its sort of DAW agnostic. I always have my audio on a external drive. I create a directory called Working. In that directory I put the projects I am working on in Lunas case just the project file, in something like logic I create a directory {song name} and put the project file in that. Then I copy the project in my case to a directory on my iCloud folder on my mini, that is exactly the same structure. When I finish working on a file I simply command c and command v the song project from the external drive to iCloud. This means my song is backed up essentially in 3 places.... external drive.. iCloud on my mini... iCloud at apple. I don't use the versions and book marks in luna, I simply copy the song and rename it if I am experimenting.... Luna has the ability to revert to an earlier version of the project should I need it... hope that helps Cheers Wiz

So a Luna "project file" is really a "package file"? It stores all of the audio files in that package-file-masquerading-as-a-project-file? Interesting. That's what GarageBand does, too. With Logic, there's an option to make it do that (or not). Same thing with Final Cut Pro.
I've never wanted Logic to do that, so I've never tried it. But I do run Final Cut that way probably 80% of the time for specific reasons.
Certainly nothing wrong with that way of doing things, especially if one can right-click on the package file and select "Show Package Contents," which should then show the underlying folders and file structure.

Off topic but I love Luna, however, won’t use it consistently until they implement slide comping (like logic and many others now) and hardware insert. I feel like these two things should be #1 priority on their list, since it would bring them many more users! Sure lots of people mix totally ITB these days, but there are still A LOT of hybrid setups out there, and always will be IMHO.

All my busses go out to stereo pairs, summed in the B6 wiht the SSL comp and I have a hardware (500 series - tape sims, EQ) on the master of the B6, as well. It all comes back to a stereo channel in Luna.

Yes, of course it can be done that way, but I’d like to see a hardware insert where I can put it anywhere in the chain and still treat the channel with plugs before/after as I see fit. Sure it could be done with an additional channel, but that’s an unnecessary PITA IMO…could be much easier with an insert plug.
