There is about a 50/50 chance that I will meet Danielle Bradbery TOMORROW. The weather may have caused a cancellation, but as of Friday (There was no work Mon-Today) she was scheduled to be using my classroom and performing for students. Anybody want to help me write something - and on the quick - knowing it's a long-shot that I could get the song into her hands.
If you go to the Youtube source, you'll see a list of the songs she did when she won season four of "The Voice" so you have an idea of what her genre is:
Can't promise a thing, but writing a song ain't ever a bad thing. If we do it, we gotta move fast and I tend to write slowly.

Wow, can a Country Bro actually be . . . a girl? This development puts a twist on things, for sure. Your example song violates most, if not all, of the "9 Things", um, thing. Or is it a List of Things always covered by a Country Bro lyric? Now I am confused. What a thing to be!
Anyway, good luck on getting a listen, or song-in-hand. You never know when opportunity will raise it's pretty little head, painted-on jeans, and all.

I am not very pushy, so it would have to be... meant to be.

I hope she will have some success. I like her sound. I got news about an hour ago that she will be there tomorrow, so it's a pretty safe bet I'll be meeting her. But, yeah... it would definitely be tough to get a song to her, tougher yet to have that develop into something, and even tougher since I tend to clam up in those situations.
On a side note, I'm depressed as heck because, listening through her music, I came across a song, "I want Crazy." And sad to say it's a lot like one of my better tunes, "Saving All My Crazy." Pretty sure it's close enough to ruin the future for that one.
On the bright side, I guess I have a new one about 2/3 done. Probably won't have it in time for tomorrow, but it's something.

There's nothing worse than writing a song that you like and then someone comes out with the same exact title. It means yours is basically dead. I had a song called "You Don't Know Her Like I Do" from about 6 years ago. Josh Gracin actually cut it, it was on his record, mastered and ready to go...Then they bring in Brett James as a co-producer and guess what? He takes both of my songs off and puts his own on there. Imagine that. I've got a copy of the cut somewhere...Anyway - apparently in the last year or so, somebody went to number one with a song called, "You Don't Know Her Like I Do"...Fucking depressing.

She sounded great, but I was surprised she only did two songs. A guy with Disney interviewed her for about 25 mins. between the two numbers. I think the kids enjoyed it and that was the point. They all seemed to want to know the same thing, "If she is our age, why isn't she in school?"

You go to school, so when you get out. you can get a job. If you already have gotten a job, somehow schooling takes a back seat. I know she's probably home schooled or as actors, schooled on the set. But the money is always #1.

Yeah - kind of like that argument of whether a football player should leave for the draft after the junior year. Dude - you gotta take the money. What degree is gonna pay you a league minimum of $500k a year?
