Not wanting to trust just any hanger , so any recommendations?
Also mounting recommendations . I guessing going into a wall stud would be best ?

Your likelyhood of finding a stud exactly where you want it is pretty low. I buy nice planks of wood, 4” wide, and nail that horizontally along the wall (into the studs). Then I attach my wall hangers to those. Looks pretty nice with minimal effort.

I would not trust hall hangers for any valuable guitar, especially acoustics or hollow bodies. (Note: I live in California.)
For typical off the shelf solid bodies I would take Tbone81's advice. But I still distrust wall hangers.

I have 10 of the GC cheap wall hangers. They work fine. Never had an issue with any of them and if you do screw into a stud you can almost hang your whole bodyweight on one.

Also, it's not the hanger that'll give way, it's the drywall or the anchor. The drywall anchors that come with the hangers are pretty much trash. They look like the good screw-in style, but the plastic they've used is brittle. Spend a few dollars and get better drywall anchors.

I still would not want to hang any of my guitars on a wall, regardless of the mount, at least not in California. While the mount might be sturdy itself, I wouldn't trust the wall not to shake it off.

No earthquake would shake my Guitars off that wall short of the wall itself collapsing. In which case - keep your guitars in anvil cases in the basement....

Not so sure about the basement - wouldn't want the entirte house to fall on it, one wall is bad enough!

Oklahoma has been shaken more than California here in the past year lol So I hear, although the quakes aren't nearly as severe as the major fault based quakes in Cal.
Still, tornados AND earthquakes, glad I left. The powers that be in that state generally don't display the greatest intelligence. Fracking is really stupid.
