The old Vibrolux Reverbs are pretty much my all time favorite amps. This one needed some TLC.
The main culprit was a blown output transformer. Replaced it with an original 1967 Schumacher, then deleted a bunch of modifications. Someone had previously added some stuff that just had to go, in order to get it back to its mostly orginal shape.
Cleaned off layers of tobacco tar with a toothbrush. Reglued some tolex. Changed some tubes. Biased it up.
It sounds so incredible! Here's a little Christmas diddy for y'all.

thanks for rescuing an amazing amp and sounds great! all of my Fenders have been rescues, including a 65 Showman, 65 Bandmaster and a 65 Tremolux.
