I had a modern player jazz for a few months. I would give it a rating of meh. Wasn't awful, wasn't good. I've owned a number of great bases over the years though, so I may be a bit more discerning than most.

No idea about this but if you're looking for something on a budget the highway one stuff is quite nice.
