Had it before but not for a while. I’ve actually heard someone say Larceny was pretty damn close to some of the Pappy’s...I find it to not be extremely complex tasting...maybe I just need more experience with sheared bourbons, though. Now, I’m judging this on drinking it neat - and you wouldn’t normally expect a $27 bourbon to be a sipper per se...but it gets such high praise, I guess I just expect more. I’ve been drinking neat for the last couple months, so I don’t have any simple syrup, but I bet some brown sugar SS would be great with this. I really love Luxardo cherries, so I’ve dropped one and a little of that syrup in and it’s really nice. Proof is high enough to bring a little heat, but I think I find sheared bourbons a little light on sweetness.

Not sure if you’ve have Pappy, but Larceny is no where close. It is still a decent pour IMO. There is a limited release of barrel proof that’s really good too if you find it.

Just got some (cheap) Weller small batch...it’s ok. Better than the Larceny...but similar profile.
