Sennheiser is the distributor. I purchased Neumann capsules from them a few years back, and inquired about U47fet parts, they had them all.

In the US either see if our own John Kennedy can get you one or Give the Full Compass Parts dept a call. In most cases gearpimps will have a hard time finding it in their systems because it’s a replacement part, but service/ parts departments should be able to find it.

michaelcleary, is it true that Neumann is no longer selling some parts to the public any longer, such as transformers and capsules?

I got a KM84 cap thru B&H middle of this year, so it can be done.

Yes, I just confirmed that with Gary as we tried to arrange a purchase for a transformer. They started this policy earlier in Europe and just started enforcing it here. You can still get a transformer or capsule replaced in your Neumann mic if you send it into Sennheiser/Neumann service or to another approved service center.

The only option I've heard in person (twice, I installed them) is the Moby Electronics version out of Serbia. It's in C-hair range of the current Neumann, and both match resistance and inductance values of the original. No hesitations recommending it.
I've heard comparative samples of an AMI/TAB BV12 and an original U67, but different capsules so apples to oranges a bit. The AMI was brighter and leaner, which does match other online comments.
I wonder about the others; Cinemag, FAB, Lundahl, etc. Don't know if the FAB and Lundahl are available currently.

Incredible sounding mics! Highly recommended!

Has anyone who has installed Moby's transformer in their Max mod 67 noticed a considerably hotter output level of the mic? I did both of mine and they sound great, but they are LOUD.

I feel like there was some recent discussion about getting Neumann BV12s but I can’t seem to find it.
Anyone know the latest on it? Can you still get them from Sennheiser USA?

Yes, and the Neumann too. The Max transformer is about 4dB down relative. No, you can’t get anything from Neumann anymore.

I'm not seeing anything with a search right now.
