Haven’t tried it in a long time...but I swear it used to be like $35 ish. I remember it just being ok. Just saw it for $27 so I bought a bottle.
Damn. It’s really good. Poured a little Woodford Double Oaked for comparison. The 1792 is sweeter, less oaky, butterscotch-y. Really good.
I’ve found that bourbons can really fluctuate from bottle to bottle, barrel to barrel.

So I bought a bottle. I poured a shot and let the aroma wash over me.... What a nose!! Remember old time candies? Rum'n'butter? That is one of the complex scents that wafts to the nose. And the taste? I'm still tingling and drooling 15 minutes later. (oh the Jim Beam is for the regular guests)

Holy crap. Poured some Blantons and Woodford Double Oaked...both of which are fantastic. Opened this newest bottle to compare and man - it’s really great. $27. It’s definitely on the sweet side.
