OK. Some stuff up FS. Really don't want to be selling stuff right now, but I'm helping a family member with a home property / place to live situation, and need to raise some cash. My wife kindly told me that selling some gear might be a good idea.... Grrrrr.... But I gotta make some family happiness, so...here it is. When I hit the magic number, it's ALL off the table. I'm insanely busy right now, then this....so please be patient with me. I will respond as soon as I can, and everything is still FS until it's NOT! I'll mark it as either sold or unavailable when / if I hit that point. Paypal preferred, and I'm totally cool with "friends and family" if you are - so there are no incurred fees for either of us. All prices are + shipping. FedEx preferred - ground OK. US sales only please - sorry. No time for the customs stuff right now. Will check everything before shipping. I have a good rep both here are at the other place.... Will be adding more stuff, so check back! If you PM me your email, I can send pics / further details. That Miktek CV4 is a killer mic when the capsule is upgraded. I wish I had the extra cash. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. very fair price.

I've got $3500 cash ready to go for a vintage 87. Sweet! I hope you can find one for that price. They seem to have jumped in the last year. I've got several nice mics that you could snag and still have $$$ left over. Good luck with the hunt.

Can you talk more about the KM53s? How are they different from the KM54? I think you have both right?

Can you talk more about the KM53s? How are they different from the KM54? I think you have both right? 53's are omni. 54's are Cardiod. Other than that, they are essentially the same. AC701k tubes. I think these are off the table now. House is purchased, escrow is closing next week. I have enough $$ to make it thru. Still, if I had an educated and attractive offer, I'd consider it. (No comps available for the last decade or so that I could find.) BTW, originally, I thought I'd miss the 54's for Ac Gt. Not so. I can put the omni's RIGHT UP on pretty much anything and get virtually no room (I guess the pattern does not hurt in that application), and no boom (proximity that all cardioids exhibit). They have actually ended up being better for me on acoustic guitars than the 54's. Go figure.... And no, I don't own any 54's.

Im an omni fan and user mostly honestly. But probably couldn't afford them from you anyways Glad you get to keep them!

They are a lot rarer than KM54's and a matched pair with new tubes. Last pair I saw was absolutely dead mint - like off the factory bench - $18k. Not sure if they ever sold, or how much for - but that was the asking price.... Insane. I'm not looking for that. But I'm not looking for $2k apiece either. I'm more than happy to tell my wife I couldn't find a buyer. LOL. Good luck on the house. I'm just buying a second for a family member - that's why I'm selling stuff. Quite the undertaking these days. Best of luck with it!!!!

Someday perhaps..Cheaper than the m50(25k+ for one! ouch!) haha have you heard them against an m50? Surely they must be "close" I'd imagine. Yeah we gave up. Bought land and going to try to build...assuming building costs come down a bit..been rough out there for sure. Thanks as always.

I have not A/B'd. The scoring engineer I bought them from has/had 11 M50's though. . He still liked and used these as well. They are cool mics, and I'm feeling better about not HAVing to sell them. Building a house!?!?! Awesome. Best of luck. the great part of that is that you can really get it how you want it. I did a big studio / home build once. It was super cool, and super hard for me. This time, I decided to bet against inflation and buy asap right now. The housing prices of building a new home where we are have been skyrocketing exponentially this year, and spending money like the gov is / has been, I don't see how significant inflation can be far behind. In fact, I'm betting on it. I know I paid more than this house is worth at this point, but even then, we were in a bidding war with 9 buyers. Crazy times. Our realtor hates it. I wish you the BEST of luck with your home.

The Cascade X-15 is a wonderful mic. Every time I put mine up I'm surprised at how much I like it. Underrated for sure.
All the best with your new house, Dr.Bill.
