I was looking around for a mic cab to go in the machine room right off the control room in my new studio. Everything was pretty expensive and not really ideal, I wnded up getting a fairly cheap ikea cabinet hacking it up and drilled some holes to mount a ikea light system in it. It's all wired so no battery changing etc. I think it turned out pretty good!

Ha I had the opportunity to one up you. My building was originally a bank. I looked at one of the “storage spaces” in the basement as a studio space before COVID, the one I really wanted had a small walk-in vault with working door! Just make sure you have those Silica packets with the mics, Those things keep moisture in better than they keep people out.

Odd pieces like my favorite harp mic, a Shure 545L, which was the transformerless, "lavalier" (hence the "L") version of the Unidyne III, which also had the cord built in. I happen to have a pristine one, which I got cheap, in the box, "NOS", at a studio sale.
