Anybody build one of these? If so, did you swap out capsules? Thanks y’all…

Studio939 is a better option for a C12 kit IMO...But if you are in Europe I guess mic and mod is a lot easier.
I'd swap out the Capsule. Its just generic edge terminated K67 from china. Same goes for the Transformer I think.
Tim Campbell (forum member) and Beesneez both make great CK12's.

I built one,it's a nice kit. I thought it sounded good stock, had no idea what a real one should sound like. I sent it out to Shannon Rhoades to work his magic, just because...... I luckily got it back, after several months, just before his melt down. He said he turned it into a c12/251 ?? combo. Whatever he did, it does sound quite good.

Wondering how they might compare to the Advanced Audio, which I have heard a drummer/engineer friend rave about.

Not sure if this matters to you or not, but that company (Mic and Mod) has a reputation for taking other people's designs without paying. A quick search will turn up the background.
Regards, John

Regards, John A lot of companies around the cloning and modding/upgrade market are guilty of that. One of the biggest reasons I left GroupDIY. It became a place for companies to steal designs/mods and then became little more than tech support for clone kit builders.
