Any other fans of his here? I'm putting this here (songwriting) but I suppose it could go in the production side of things as he's done some good stuff on that side of the glass too (Bettye Lavette, Solomon Burke etc.)
I've been a fan since his early alt/Americana records with the Jayhawks as his backing band, up to the present more jazz-inflected, atmospheric stuff. haven't loved all of it (and yeah, he always sounds like he could use a heap of decongestants), but most of it I've at least liked. I don't have everything though so if you have a fave, give it a shout out.

Love that most (all?) of his records are cut live off the floor over three or four days.
