Yeah, there's a few here and there in various condition. I guess I'm a bit sceptical about purchasing from Reverb/Ebay. Thought there may be someone on Realgear that is looking to sell or knows a guy who knows a guy... 😎

There is a seller on Reverb who shows his mics on a wooden table - I'm sure you've seen them. I bought a KM84 from him and it is fabulous. He puts new capsule in them. It's too much of a gamble buying one sight unseen but the capsule seems to be the main things these mics need over time. His prices are high but a new capsule is about $600 I believe. I had another old KM84 serviced by Tom Onofrio (which needed a new capsule), and they are a perfect match. That's another nice thing about getting one with a new capsule- easier to pair up with another similar one.

How interesting. Yes, I saw the ad you mentioned and was a bit dubious because of the capsule change - I figured that might be a bad thing. Great info. Cheers for that.

Ping me, and I can give you his direct contact info. He is a great guy, and we had several phone conversations about studio stuff & life last year. I met him by buying a pair of KM84s from him in 2018 (before the prices went cra cra). I got one for $900 and the other for $1,100 at that time.

And if you provide the serial number I can check to see if it was one of mine I sold in bulk to them a few years ago. Now there's a cool story behind that.
