lol. sad thing is that it's probably made on the same factory lines or made to the same schematics that were sold out the back door from the chinese epiphone factory.

Monoprice sells some good stuff for the money ('DJ Style' Headphones especially).... and I hear their XLR cables are surprisingly decent. I bet this is the best $140 Les Paul you can buy... even if that's not saying much.

If Agile can sell an LP copy for 250$ that's better than the best Epiphone version, I'm sure that someone can sell a 140$ version that is better than the cheapest Epiphone..
I'm actually intrigued simply as a basis for guitar experiments. I'd like to make a baritone using a warmoth baritone conversion neck.. Maybe this could be the guinea pig?
I would think the worst parts of a cheap guitar would be the overall fit/finish, the pickups and the neck.

Bolt on neck, usable for stage smashing. If you light it on fire, the poly finish will take off into a fireball.
I'll stick with my desert burst "custom 'sweat' shop" Epi.

I made some experience in my guitar classes with CHINA guitars. They are getting better but 140$ is still dificult
With a bit luck you can find china guitars today you can use in a pfofessional context. Whatever that means. I play two China guitars myself and if the quality goes up like this in the next 5 years they should hurry up in the West to top it.

Exactly what I did with my old, cheaper-than-dirt starter guitar back in the day. Smashed it to smithereens, pretending I was Pete Townsend. Did it in front of 1,200 people. Got a great response. Sadly, that's the only cheap guitar I've ever owned, and therefore the only one I've ever smashed.

I was not impressed with the quality of guitar fetish stuff. But even less impressive was the new fender nashville i got. The tele plate is the cheapest chromed plastic nonsense. Pot metal everything else Wiring was sloppy. It smelled of assembled in USA but parts manufactured in vietnam... You think $1600 would get you something. Wow Anyways i digress.

Agile makes some pretty good ones. The 3200 Agile guitars are GREAT if you swap electronics to taste, lower the action, and swap the nut out to either bone or Graphite. (I'm probably the odd man out who prefers Graphite nuts to Bone usually for tuning stability.) When I produce for young guitarists who lack experience and need a guitar I usually recommend they buy a 3200 Les Paul copy from Agile with either P90's or Humbuckers depending on their personal tastes as a great first electric.

Honestly I prefer Suhr guitars to anything Fender currently makes...for many, many reasons too numerous to mention.

Yeah I just wanted the B bender And I was able to get a deal. I'm replacing the tuners because they are more pot metal crap But if I end up replacing the bridge and pickups it's not much of a deal. Anyways, it's not really that big of a deal in the scheme of things. I could just leave it all alone and use just as is and it won't affect record sales....

I stopped worrying about sales altogether a ways back, I feel like what you're really selling is access to your life as a musician, not your music anymore these days. I'm gearing up to do a new record and this time around my main focus is to make my surroundings comfortable. So things feel effortless. A Suhr guitar, while generally more expensive than a Fender sounds great stock before you mod anything and after a quick setup will play rock solid for years and years with minimal maintenance. Anything I own tends to get beat up over time anyway...so it's better than at least the damn thing plays well and feels comfortable. That said I'm getting ready to change pickups on my old 1960 Les Paul Reissue from 1990. So somethings just don't stay stock no matter what you do.

Yeah is was joking about sales. It's never been a motivation for me. I just think you should get what you pay for. I know for that kind of money a Nash would rule along a bunch of other guitars. Andi have put some together myself for less than that with outstanding results. Alas, yet another analogy to corporate motivation of profit over quality

Really looks killer. I almost picked up a used dhgate chinese knock off dave grohl sig guitar a couple months ago, but it sold too quick. Would have loved to try it for low bucks.

Look at the "option" pulldown.. 102$ is just for the hard case. The guitar is 284$ and the guitar+case is 314.

Here's the used Fake Gibson Grohl signature that I almost grabbed. Looks like some infringement to my, but what do I know. Either way, it would have been cool to have as a talking piece. reverb.com/item/469347-used-fake-dave-grohl-electric-guitar

Chickenbacker is a pretty popular term for the Chinese knock offs too.
