I purchased one in Moon White.
I bought it so I could stop taking my two Strats out to gigs....
Before landing on the PRS , I tried 3 different cheaper than my Strats, and didn't like any of them... I live in regional Australia, so its a case of ship and see...
The guitar is beautifully made, especially at the price point, can't find a flaw....
Played great out of the box... they come with a decked them, I floated it.
Did a show with it....sounds really good... plays great... and its not the end of the world if it gets kicked over or stolen.
In a way it reminds me of my Taylors in that it plays and is put together just great.
No compaints, fine instrument...and probably best in class.
cheers

How are the cheaper pickups in them? How dothey sound? I am still coming to terms with them…. But they are quiet …haven’t had any hum issues…. tone pots interact way more than either of my fender strats….. I plan on doing some work this week on my live rig sound and will reply back here.. in the studio they are fine and dandy… cheers Wiz

Do you have a favourite start style pickup? Or are you a standard model guy?

Do you have a favourite start style pickup? Or are you a standard model guy? I have gold lace sensors in one strat…and custom shop fat 50s in the other…it’s what the the guitars came with.

As an aging metalhead, I never thought I'd ever be playing a PRS. But I tried their Dustie Waring CE24 and bought it straight away. It's just such an elegant playing instrument, but it can really dish out the meat and potatoes. Drop-B tuning on a 25" scale kept my tech up for a night or two, but we've got it running great. I'd been using ESP's for a long time (still have my restored 1995 M-II Deluxe and a 2014 M-I NTB), but the PRS is just on a whole different level.
