So my friends around the world how Jealous are you that I have Air condition and my electric bill is a fixed fee?

Not at all. Even though temps have been higher here, my bill hasn't really gone up much from last year.

Hottest July on record here in the Salt Lake City area. The sun is blasting down on us. We've got solar cells on our house, so the additional sunlight roughly cancels out increased rates. Downside is in the winter when I have to use a roof rake to pull snow off the collectors so we don't use as much juice off the grid. Of course, snow doesn't come as often or plentifully as it used to...

My Building is the former corporate offices of AMC theaters, when the renovated the building the owner couldn’t justify rewiring to put meters on each unit. The building is currently 6 floors of residential 15 floors commercial. The company that recently bought it wants to convert all floors to residential, but at least a couple of floors are basically data centers at fixed fee utilities think anyone Winthrop a server farm is going to take a buy out of there lease? One of them is TQL one of the largest freight brokers, it’s funny any time I get a freight quote it confuses there system! Also I don’t have declare it a residential address for any shipping! |

Wow, looks like an amazing place to live and so lucky on the fixed power bill !! I do love it, if I want I can go weeks without taking out the car. There are 3 500 square ft storage rooms I could rent for $400a month if I want a shop or studio space. A great bar and a great coffee shop just outside my back door, the library is next door. Here is the coolest thing there are 2 free EV chargers so I hardly ever pay to charge the Tesla. When we bought it we figured the gas savings over the X5 would be about $30k over the 8 year warranty now with free charging and the price of Gas we figure the Tesla will pay for it’s self. Oh and out the front door is CVS with a decent liquor section. |

Think of it more of a Family with PTSD after Ike put 3 feet of water in the house😁 I mean if it floods this place we are talking biblical flood. Also when we moved in only the top 2 floors and the second floor were residential, and you can look into the second floor windows from the street! Imagine 97% burnt me walking around in my underwear and scaring small children🤪 Though Patrick Mahomes did look at the unit next door and Travis Kelsey lives 4 blocks away. |
