Rad! My wife read Just Kids a few years back and really dug it. She came to it through the Robert Mapplethorpe / photographic side of its story. My dad gifted me the Nuggets cd boxed set a couple of decades ago and it showed up as I was starting to re-explore the fuzzy sounds of my youth. I was very lucky to be around a lot of radio people when I was a kid in the 80s and grew up listening to Clyde Clifford's Beaker Street radio show. LOOK IT UP! Nuggets also kicked off some deep Todd Rundgren / Emmit Rhodes / 13th Floor Elevators / Sagittarius studying thanks to their inclusion on those cds. It definitely helped create some context for why I was so naturally drawn to the music of Broadcast, Thee Oh Sees, and Dungen in the early 2000s. Ok, now I'm gonna go pull out the boxed set Thanks!

Fun, she has so much cred: you just start pealing back the layers or connecting the dots.
