There's one of these for sale for decent price locally.
Not sure what version it is, but it isn't the reissue. So, late 50s to mid 60s?
Any advice appreciated. Personally I like the stuff that lacks headroom - not really in a situation where I can crank up even a lower wattage amp- and most Ampegs aren't that from what I understand. But I also like good tone and at 12 watts or whatever?
Should I at least go and have a look?

I have an early 60's Jet. It has an insane amount of headroom for a 12 watter. The tone right before break up is fantastic though. Really crisp and punchy.
If it's anywhere between $300-450, it's definitely worth a look!

Whether you guys know it or not, that AMPEG was the sound of Peter Framptom for many, many, years sometime after the "Live record" !
