Here's a $10 improvement that Fender still hasn't fixed in the Telecaster. I did it to my old and it was great, I now have a new, after a month the input jack has failed. Yep, had one in my old one. Also had a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in it.
I didn't know any better.

Also for those newer gibsons and fenders. Put new nuts in them right away. New ones use nylon

Yep, there's a lot of that stuff on Stew Mac that can really help matters. It's just a shame the first thing you have to do to a $1000+ guitar is put better parts on it.
