Especially with the start of the school year, adulting is a mofo. But I finally carved out a few hours to just sit and write. Not for a client. Not for money. For no other reason than it's actually fun.
Too bad NYC apartment life doesn't mesh with miking up a live kit in your dining room.
God dammit, I love being able to do this.

I taught my 15yo son the eleven songs I chose out of all the demos for this record. He'll be joining me at a rehearsal studio so I can get the cobwebs off (I got diagnosed with a frozen shoulder early this year, so I'm trying to mend my busted wing). But very, very soon.
Looked at some of your studio pics - looks rad! Aren't you precariously close to Brian's Guitars? That's dangerous.

AFAIK, Brian's Guitars used to be in Norwalk or Westport - about a half hour from here, but I don't think he's around any more.
