How much for the Tremolux? Great question. I am listing the amp for a family friend and still researching what a reasonable price is for such a clean, pre-CBS example. Don't mean to be opaque, I just haven't nailed down fair market yet. I see a banged up one on Reverb for $1300, for example.

I'll keep an eye on this; though, that's more than I'd be willing to give, probably...unless it's a '63. Thanks!

I need to read up on dating this amp, I just got the heads up and haven’t finished researching yet. Consider yourself my first call once I better understand what I have. What’s preferable about the 63?

What’s preferable about the 63? It would be the first year of issue with the newer circuit/new cosmetic design. Only manufacturered in this incarnation from 1963-1966. There was a tweed (50's), and a blonde circuit version ('60-'62). Model was dropped from the line after this version. The transformer codes and/or pot codes can give you a reasonable idea of manufacture date. There is a serial number stamped on the right rear of the chassis on the outside facing edge. Should tell you what you need to know. It's only really "Pre-CBS" if it's a '63 or '64. Wonder what happened to the cabinet it originally came with? A bit of a rare bird as it is. Not too many made. It's one of the few Fenders I haven't owned.

Tremolux is sold, FYI!
I also have a reissue Fender Tube Reverb if anyone is looking. As well as a rack of Spectra Sonics 110 preamps.
