Picked up the black Friday deal on the Synergy SYN1 + Friedman BE module for $500 to use as a single module silent rig in the house employing the cab emulated output. Worked nicely feeding a headphone amp or an interface with direct monitoring, as well as a silent tracking rig in the studio. Saw that Audient was blowing out their oddball Sono interface for guitar a couple weeks back and picked one up from B&H for $199. Main interest was it's ability to run Two Notes CAB emulations stand-alone via DSP, to use it after the Synergy pre: So far I'm digging it. The hi-z 12AX7 coupled input sounds best being fed by the pre, compared to the rear panel combi connector inputs, and it stores 3 CAB impulses in the onboard DSP, selectable with the CAB switch above the headphone out. When connected over USB you can edit the cabs and load any Two Notes profiles from your collection, it comes with 20 cab profiles and the various mic/room options for each. I already had quite a few from their Wall of Sound software that work with it as well.
