Behind the scenes in PM and in certain threads and sub forums there is some community left. I deleted my last account when stupidity prevailed about basic technical stuff like phase shift. I'll be back there eventually. I don't know why people bug me about quality parts all the time. They just need to figure it out like I did instead of automatically 'parts don't make a difference' . I have a Berhinger console I'll trade you for your Neve console if you think parts don't matter.

the only thing I notice that was junk on a Vintage Eurodesk was molex connectors that degrade and low quality controls. But this is their flag ship I would happily trade for a Neve console .

I noticed PROBOARDS is a canadian company. But since you are using services in the United States, you are under US jurisdiction. So any action against me or any citizen of the United States will cause legal action upon proboards. relgearonline.com is registered in the US and its registrar is Godaddy of Arizona. Any action against me or any citizen of the United States will cause your registry to be pulled for criminal activity supporting international terrorist organizations or terrorist activities. Dude...what in the actual hell?? Trying to tell me who can and can't be here and threatening me with a lawsuit is a good way to get banned here.

In following the rabbit trail, I'm guessing one too many science fiction conventions.

The collective brain power is still managed to hit new lows.

Scott Dorsey has been around a long time and helped a lot of people with Oktava mods. He had some stuff published. I didn't quite get the gist of the whole thing other than phase flip the back of a speaker. That's what I normally do. Same with bottom snare mix. But, hell, who knows, maybe someone is going after that flipped phase comb filter sound. Might be good in some genre. Sorry if I pulled this off topic. I don't go on GS that much anymore. The anger level of some posters is just too high for me. Also, a great deal of the advice is completely wrong or at best "it depends". I've often wondered if it might be best if everyone HAD to use their real names on forums and also post at least six tracks. Then you would know who you were dealing with. It's obvious that many posters on GS are very new to recording and have more opinions than experience.

Reminds me of when I visit around L.A. and the Westside. Still some cool people. Still some cool areas. But the "population is shrinking", on terms of quality Ratio.
Dunning-Kruger Effect is strong there... Chris

15 years ago the KC GS guys would try to get together at least twice a year. At first we had a nice turnout, but over time it ended up be g BradD and I.

This question further reminds me of L.A Story/Steve Martin... Where he talks about L.A people being real or not.
