So what do people do for studio chairs
Right now I use kitchen table chairs. But I would like to get something similar to these that I remembered when I was growing up in Texas:

These might be neat to try, but remove the cheap casters and put chrome feet on it. |

Amazon has all sorts of inline skate style wheels - that's what I did to my studio chair (and every desk chair in my house that had the cheap plastic casters). Super smooth and very quiet. What ever it is .... definitely no arms! I managed to unscrew and flip the right side armrest of an Aeron chair, which does look slightly weird, but which makes it possible to sit in it with a guitar. |

In the building that i reside there were a number of wooden chairs (ca. 1920s) which had a branding on the underside of the seat: "bombproof". As the building was bombed by the allies in WWII (and not destroyed, as it has three-foot walls and generous double-T-bar steel bracing with the steel as thick as my thumbs) it is proven that these chairs are indeed bombproof, so i keep them.

www.vyperindustrial.comI got a Vyper Chair with the Big Boy attachment and tool tray a few weeks ago. $800 worth of chair and I had to assemble it. I opted for an Acme Rod seat height adjustment. Old school but solid and stays put. I like to “swivel” while I’m working. Makes for fine sitting as I’m playing, recording or mixing.
