Ya, I get it. I’ve cancelled orders in past (regretted doing so) and get so tired of Ragan saying how great his 3a circuit is: salt in the gear wound bro !

stam Hey, I was stoked to get the final payment email for my SA76D-500, but then surprised that it was not a paypal link. You're using checkout.getnet.cl now? I guess I'm just paranoid that your email got hijacked or something since the change was unexpected. We are using both. Our preference is getnet (credit cards or bank transfers) but customers are free to pay in whatever form they see fit. If you want to pay via PayPal that's fine as well.

Do we know what the different costs are for each payment method?

Damn that’s a smart piece of kit. Have my Audioscapes already though so nogo for me atm. Haven’t bought anything from Stam yet, but he makes some thoughtful stuff…like the LA-3A/4A, been drooling on that one for a minute.

I finally had the chance to use the new mono version of the Stam MEQP-1A+, and found it to be a fantastic piece of kit. Along with its tube power supply, is the added MEQ-5 mid band with boost, cut or bypass option, stepped switches, and a unit that offers both Tube and Solid State Output Stage where both sound great. Between the sonics and added options I think it's a bargain for the current price and would guess this hangs tight with the Pulse at one third the cost. If you’re looking for a Pultec type EQ, I think this is the one.

How do I get this guy’s job? I love it. Josh may come under criticism for wait times but he’s a genius when it comes to constantly upgrading classic gear with quality components.

Sexy as hell. Honestly, I’ve never been particularly interested in Pultecs because they were limited and were mono and I wasn’t gonna buy a pair…but this solves all those issues.

The subtle but very impactful innovations Josh and the stam team come up with are incredible. Always super practical and useful. Mines stepped too 🤘

Sexy as hell. Honestly, I’ve never been particularly interested in Pultecs because they were limited and were mono and I wasn’t gonna buy a pair…but this solves all those issues. Yeppers, this one is a keeper :-) I got the MEQP-1AS+ (which is quite the mouthful of letters lol). It's one of the most heavy gears I have on a per/RU basis. I realize we aren't supposed to 'weight' the absolute value of gears based on their relative mass on earth. But I have to say, each time I need to reposition the MEQP-1AS+ I'm immediately reminded of my mantra in days gone by when working at UPS- Lift with legs brother, not the back. This device does solve the mono issue; ultimately I'm glad it's ganged and not dual mono even though I can't use it for m/s. It's very well matched across channels. If i were to have been asked before buying I would have asked for a dual mono like the Retro unit,,, but I'm really thankful now for the stereo ganged controls with closely mat5ched channels. At the end of the day, it's a pultec. But woooo daddy! What a pultec it is. As shakermaker indicated, the enhanced features (SS vs Tube outputs), the additional band from the MEQ, the low noise from not having to vet a vintage unit, the close matched channels negating need for matchinbg mono units... and Most Importantly, the gorgeous sound. A click here and there and .... Done. Stam has sent out some new op amps that are supposed to lift the top end. I'm actually cool with it as it is, but keen to check the diff. I knew the pultec high band boost wasn't a shelf when I got it. I have other baxxy-esque shelves I can use to hit those mega high MHz freqs. It's delightful, highly recommended before this model is no longer available... which from what I understand from stam posts they are no longer producing the switchable SS/Tube out put version (the + Plus) version. Hopefully I'll stand corrected. I've recently become acquainted with the MEQP-1AS+'s secret friend with a Demo unit. The peppy zing of PG23 peps up the drenched pizzazz of the MEQP-1AS+.
