After waiting 5 years, 10 months, and 1 day.....my name bubbled to the top - got on the list in August 2018. I placed the order yesterday and it will arrive in a couple weeks.
Anyone out there use one and find it all that its purported to be. I have listened to many videos and never felt like I got wowed, but sometimes the videos just don't do the justic.
Honestly not sure if I will keep it or resell it for a modest (i.e. not insane/stupid/unreasonable) profit. If it does the work of other pedals I have, it will most likely stay, but remains to be seen...
I am sure this horse has been around the track a few times, but would appreciate your thoughts, especially usefulness in a studio setting...

My friend payed BIG money to buy a second hand one as he wanted it "today" ....
I've used it and it's absolutely superb!
I'd go as far as to say .... stunning!
Congrats.

Well, that is some very high praise. Over the course of a couple years, I went on a "Pedal Bender" and tried out something like 200-300 overdrives and effects. I eventually came to the conclusion that most "like-kind" drives based on some "original" circuit sound very similar with some minor tweaks to differentiate them. I even tried a number of klones and found that the PiedmontFX Aluminum Falcon (large box) was by far the best sounding klone I had ever heard. Having never heard an original Klon, I don't know how it stacked up, but everything a Klon was described to be, I heard in the AF and not nearly as much in other klones. I never wanted to spend the money it would take outside of the waiting list to get the KoT. Now, when the KoT arrives, I suspect I am going to be blown away or I will be largely unimpressed because I would have heard "that sound" before in something else, or not at all. I hope its the former and certainly should be, if what you are saying is true [to my ears.] At the very least, I can say I have been to the mountain and experienced all that it is.

I used it with my vintage JV Strat into a Fender Princeton and I honestly thought it sounded truly fantastic and far better than any of my OD pedals Let us know your thoughts. These things are so highly subjective and down to personal taste.

Enjoy!
I bought a Timmy back when they were ~$200 directly from Paul, and sold it a few years ago, but now I think I'd appreciate the lower gain. 2 latest buys - a Kingsley Page direct from them - amazing! And a Barber Custom lo-gain Direct Drive for a 2nd pedalboard. Love my original but gain is never above 11:00.

Five years is a loooooong time. I got my KoT about two years after I got on the list. Don’t remember the exact dates, but probably 2017-2019. Yeah, it’s worth the wait. I haven’t tried 2-300 ODs, but I’ve been playing for over 50 years and have owned a fair number of pedals as I searched for tone. My KoT is always on. It just makes my guitar sound better. Kick in the second channel to crunch things up quite a bit. Guitar tone is a matter of individual taste, so YMMV, but I will never sell mine. It’s a great pedal. Well worth the wait. I think you will enjoy it very much. And for those of you who are hesitant, just put your name on the list and someday you’ll get a wonderful surprise package in the mail.

I ended up moving it along, for multiple reasons, mostly to recoup the expense for other life needs. I found I can get some really good sounds with my klon klone ( Origin Halcyon Gold) and a Mostortion Clone (3rd Power Roosevelt Drive.) I just didn't feel like the Kot did it better enough to justify holidng onto it. In absense of anything those, it would have been a keeper.
