Is the M-Audio Delta 1010 in the pipeline after this one? Or is the Digi M-Box next? I sold my Delta 1010 to a Craigslist guy in a parking lot nearly 20 years ago. Ha, I did the same 19 years ago.

I have mine in the garage. I'm half tempted to go out and get it. But then I need to figure out how to connect a PCI card in a PCIe slot.

It made more sense to me after watching this video. I notice in the first couple minutes we get the buzz words: “edge”, “bite”, “warmth”, “richness”.

You know what we need? Companies A/Bing their emulations against the real deal in their promo videos. Show me how close you got. And that goes for hardware cloners, too.
I'm assuming they don't do it because they're not that close?

Just checked eBay and Delta 66 Omni still only going for $100. I'm gonna hang on to mine until it's at least up to $105. All kidding aside, who would buy one of these for $100? I don't think it's even possible to use it?

I guess it's kinda funny to me how it comes back around as back in the 90's/early 2000's we were trying to be like the 60/70's. Still, I don't think it's too much of an argument the gear of that era was much better than the turn of the millenium digital.

I'm still amazed people want Portastudios, maybe I should've kept mine with the broken transport for another decade and sell it to someone who really wanted the experience. I'm sure I'm just as guilty chasing things the Beatles used thinking it'll rub off on my songs but this crap gear? I guess we as humans will find all sorts of way to distract ourselves instead of getting on with it and making songs.

I don't think it's even possible to use it? With an adapter it's possible. Also, the drivers are rock solid on Linux (I tried them 10 years ago). They could be handy for some permanent installation where audio quality isn't paramount, but latency is.

Playing devils advocate here, but could it be they nailed it & if you hear the A/B they will realize that did a bang up job, but who really why?😁

Sorry. I couldn't get past "I love vintage digital sound". Why do I feel like I'm listening to a used car salesman?

I demoed it yesterday on a dub production I'm working and it sounded great on that particular track. It's like a soft clipper with different algorithms and an eq.
Maybe demo it first before judging?
