Just yesterday upgraded my M1 to sequoia together with the latest pro tools, running the latest UAD software. Everything is solid, stable and smooth. If mac ain't throwing all the “accessibility allow” dialogs on you, UAD have a list on their site how to manually take care of that.

CS told me a couple of days ago, ua connect was sequoia not certified, but apparently Apollo and cards are, so it would seem uad2 plugs are ?
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised that everything was fine with the m4.

I'm on an M1. Recently upgraded both to Sequoia and the latest Logic. No issues found as of yet. Also, I was using Rosetta for the longest time...now not. While I haven't tried all my plugs, the ones that get regular use are working fine.
Oh, and UA Connect working fine for me.

You’d only need Rosetta for non-silicon approved 3rd party plugs, hopefully all is good now !

So I was wrong, I just noticed today that my external SSD drive disconnects after a couple minutes of the comp being on. From searching the interwebs, I see there’s a fair amount of people having the same issue with USB hubs, drives, ports etc. I’ve ordered a powered USB hub from Amazon as that seems to be the only valid suggestion I could find, until Apple fixes this….that is, if they do. I contacted support and they asked if I checked if my USB enclosure for my SSD is compatible with Sequoia…I said I bought it two years ago so likely not. When I asked for a suggestion of one that is, they had no options for me.
All that to say, if any RGOers know a software fix, happy to hear it!

Im on M1, thunderbolt hub with multiple usb, usb-c and thunderbolt drives and what not. No issues. I don’t think there’s too much to the iron itself wether it’s m1 or m4. Could there be a some third party software you have that is conflicting with mac’s security protocol regarding external drives? I think it very often comes down to the privacy and security with macs when something’s not working out. You have given all required permissions for external drives?

The new Apple OS name is a bit confusing to some of us with a Magix background. I think Plush was referring above to Magix's Sequoia DAW, which is a PC based product.

They are rather expencive but so far the only ones not giving any head ache what so ever. The OWC gave static noises in audio recording despite being a high quality hub. With the cal digit i can charge my computer, run all thunderbolts and externals thru. I have between 8-10 externals hooked up most of the time with ssd’s working from and hdd’s for archives. Have been in this setup for maybe 4 years now and it’s so stable.

Thx Niklas, that will be my next step. The powered hub didn’t work today so started a return for that and decided just to go with an different ssd enclosure, will give that a try tomorrow.

What do I know the RADAR still runs on BE😁 I bootcamped my i9 and also think it's a great Windows machine, overheats less than it did on OSX! Tho to be fair Magix Sequoia also runs fine via Parallels in Windows ARM on the new M4, just waiting for PACE to get Ilok for Windows Arm and I'll then try to have one machine do both like back with the i9 MBP. Sequoia running Sequoia, which being I grew up near Sequoia National Park I'm all for it.
