Lightly toying with the idea of picking up a use ST-2 . It doesn't come with a mic, the mic is $700 which seems like a lot for something I'd use like once per year.
Anyone in Austin or nearby wanna do a timeshare on one? If you already own it I'll buy you a bottle of bourbon or something everytime I need it. I don't know. Or maybe Trinnov owners can chime in here with "dude, you'll use it way more than once per year."
I kinda doubt it though, I've shot my room with Sonarworks probably three or four times total in four years.

I know a studio near Houston that has one, too far? But yes, unethical pro tip would be to demo a new one, use the mic and then return it 😂…

You’d think the older ones would be cheaper…but you’re definitely going to want to own one.

Your not going to be constantly shooting the room! In the old days renting an RTA& mic made more sense than buying for most.

Even if I did that once per year it would still make way more sense than buying one for $700.

Damn...I should totally rent mine out. This is for the st-2, right? Only reason I'd be worried is wear and tear...and then can you find another one of the old ones easily?

This place is listed as having a Trinnov system on demo per the Trinnov website. Very dangerous for me to walk through the doors of such a place though. I'll need an accountability sponsor to be there with me or else I'm liable to take out a second mortgage. www.originhifi.com/

That is a good deal when you factor in the mic cost. Is the touch screen really worth it though? Don't they have an iOS app now? I thought I saw a review that said that was in development a few years ago. Good deal even without the touch screen. Also, I don't really understand what the touch screen does to be honest. I just know that the whole point of such a system to me is to not think about it. Touch screen seems like thinking about it.

Buy a little Seahorse, Pelican, or Harbor Freight Apache case with diced foam. The trick is to find one that best fits the medium if it fits it ships boxes.

I had a tiny little monitor I used for a bit. But you can set it up on your network with a CAT5 cable and pull it up in a browser.
