Gang, I am a 7yr devoted Gretsch head.
It began with watching a live performance and seeing a gorgeous tiger striped orange Brian Setzer Signature series. I didn't know anything about Gretsch and it took me 3 months to find out what guitar it was. I then listened to that player's projects and fell in love with an axe with the possibilities of really clear crunch tones in which you can hear every string, the bite and twang and also jazzy warm tones.... such a versatile guitar. So I bought one. 2 years later it was stolen.
I have replaced it (4 years ago) with a black falcon. I ditched the stock electronics and loaded it with single coil TV Jones pups. This is one amazingly versatile and fun guitar. My only regret is that for lead playing, the higher frets are unusable due to the thickness of the body/neck joint?
The only electric guitar I would consider buying at this point would be a Tele as an addition/back-up.
So, any other Gretsch lovers out there?

I've wanted a Gretsch Corvette for a while, but after buying my Jazzmaster it's way down the list of priorities.
