Anyone else dig Sufjan Stevens? When I first heard Michigan, I was hooked. I came across it when it was listed as the #3 album of 2003 in Pitchfork. I guess he did the majority of the recording in different remote locations. Most of the arrangements are massively layered, but with plenty of space. Really well done. The music has gone through some massive changes from acoustic features in 2003 through the most recent non-Christmas, electronic influenced albums The Age of Adz and All Delighted People.
If you haven't listened, sit down in a quiet place and take Michigan for a spin...top to bottom. Here's a sample to wet your whistle.
