Hey gang, I just negotiated a price break on a new Eventide H9 MAX unit.
I'm building a new pedalboard which will run off of a Musiccomlab EFX LITE 6M MIDI footswitch for all my analog effects, and multiple H9's if I wind up liking the unit after it arrives (the plan is to buy two or three more CORE units which can all run off of the same Eventide account to access all 45 effects you get with a MAX unit.) I'm also using a Radial Switchbone for ABY control over two amps.
I opted for this over buying an Eclipse V4, which I am extremely fond of...but was impractical by comparison for both studio work and live usage. I was wondering anyone here is using these also? They can run stereo at line level as well as instrument level from reading the manual, so in theory they can be used across mixes on a stereo FX AUX send as well as on a pedal board. Just wondering if anyone's attempted this.
Also if there's any effects in particular you think I should dig into first let me know...I'm really looking forward to the Diatonic settings, Verbs, and Delays especially.

Yea I'm thinking about picking one up for my live rig... much smaller! Just got the H9 MAX unit with all 45 effects in the mail...this thing is AMAZING...I'm getting all the basic sounds I've loved from various Eventide rack effects units...and it DOES work at line level in stereo (I just used it as an analog insert in Cubase and PT to see if I could use it that way to great effect, and you can. While stereo / mono it is NOT balanced...but the MIDI control on the unit is so versatile with a footswitch, so for live and studio guitar work it's proving to be really effective. After I get used to this thing inside and out over the next few weeks I'll be buying at least two more to run on my pedal-board...maybe three if I can scrounge up the cash. It sounds great in an FX loop but you have to watch your level control on your effects a bit there...it also sounds fantastic going into the front end of an amp (which I might just do to keep things simpler live.) The only thing that feels a bit redundant is the onboard tuner in the H9, it's not bad, but it's not nearly as versatile as my Strobostomp (which has settings for capos and alternate tunings I use a lot.) However, if you could only bring one pedal to a show...this would be tough act to follow since each effect has independentvolume controls (which means you can effectively clean boost anything you want internally.) However, my Klon KTR and Bearfoot Uber Bee still give me OD sounds I can't seem to mimic digitally...and my Skreddy Mayonaise and Zero fuzz boxes give me a Germanium and Silicon Fuzz tone each that I can't seem to beat in that realm either. But I've still got a couple great analog effects units I'm debating selling after this (Keeley Modded Ibanez AD9, Arion SCH-1 Chorus, and Pigtronix Envelope Phaser...I've pretty much cleaned all my other analog FX out) All in all though I barely slept last night going through these effects...they're all pretty darn magical.

Hi, Carey, did you ever get the Sonnus Wahoo pedal to go with this rig? If so, have you experimented with it? Mine is about to arrive from the UK. Any tips and insights would be much appreciated!
