Really, really nice invisible compression. Perfect for vocals. Adds a little top end and a little mid, but otherwise, it's pretty transparent. The compression is very transparent. Really can't hear it working. Honestly, it's like a Sta-Level without the big color - which I really like. Love to have both options, but right now, I'm really happy with this. Really like the 250 Hz HPF too.

I was set on the Brute. But with the crap Aussie $, shipping and import tax, it wouldve worked out alot more.
Just placed a order for that JLM LA500 though. Great price point for that sucker

So now that I have the Brute and a Drip STA, I'd say they really compliment each other nicely. The times when I don't want the extra thickness of the STA, the Brute gives me that smooooth compression sans the extra lows.
