Am I the only one that this happens to? I guess it's the rubber from the upper semi-circle holder thing that is eating into the varnish on my freaking guitar...but it's REALLY starting to piss me off. Gotta remember to put a cloth over it...

Gotta remember to put a cloth over it... I've had that experience. The 'surgical rubber' type tubing on guitar stands deteriorates over time. It gets brittle after a decade or so, but not before marking the guitar necks if you don't watch for it. Also, "soft touch" plastic used on remotes and some car interiors gets sticky with age. Am I the only guy who's Blue mic cables have gotten all tacky and hard to handle? I wipe them with alcohol, but they get sticky again soon.

I use a Warwick rock stand so I can keep all of them sideways.
