I'm thinking about getting or building a Marshall type amp for the studio.

Mojotone has 20% off ending tomorrow. I was thinking about the 18 watt combo.

Any opinions on which one would be the best studio/recording amp.

So true... the 2203 in particular. But also the 1987 (both model number references)

If you have Facebook, here's the proper;y named Marshall JMP1. I'm using it on Overdrive 1, all tones at center (0) gain on 20, master on 13. Direct into Pro Tools. Only a slight delay. Otherwise, stock 1987 Les Paul Custom into a stock JMP1 preamp.
