Mine will not be the same as that. I am a one man show here. There's only so much I can get done, unless I close the store, then I would have to get another job. Catch 22. Not to mention, the Toft board is not DIY

I would love to see the guts of that ARK console, or a bom/schematic, What is this thing? there is no expiation of the circuit on the site, and even at $20k, i bet there are compromised parts throughout the thing?? I don't doubt for a single second that what jeff is concocting will smoke it! His diy approach allows him to create a no compromise kit, utilizing the HIGHEST quality components available for his creative circuit designs, all while keeping the price in our stratosphere, proof is in all the other capi kits. Not to mention, due to the lack of explanation, i'm betting this Ark is just a 500 series generic console..mackie style?, jeff is making an API type console that will end up sounding more like an API than an api. If his track record holds course, it will be astonishingly badass!! and the relative price point should be a little less than a 1/4 the cost of an API
If he ever comes out with this console, i will do what ever it takes to acquire one.

Well MT has been around for a long, long time with tons of experience in console design. I am sure it was simple for him to pump out another one. I would also be interested in the topology. I will bet my nut sack it is not based on a vintage API.

I will bet my nut sack it is not based on a vintage API. Malcolm Toft has effectively been around designing consoles for over 40 years. But that does not mean it was easy or simple to get this console on the market. And you're right, The Ark is not based on a vintage API :-) Peace Bruno Ocean Audio

Still think Jeff's will be great. I'd love to know the price on it. I'm sure Jeff's rig will be unloaded, but with the gobbs of high quality discrete components, opamps, and transformers this thing will have/require, it will be for all intents and purposes, a buffed out old school api, not cheap, but I'd bet the summing section alone will be worth the price of admission?? I think he's gonna offer up to three 500 spaces per channel, if i remember correctly? if you load it up with capi pre's, ? compressors, and capi Lc53a eq's, watch the heck out! Not sure, but i think it will also be 51x compatible, allowing you to run neve and ssl type 24v pre's, eq's and compressors in it!! it will be insane! and pretty affordable(as in not..."$60,000 for an api? ), and will sound as good, if not better, and without a doubt have more options). The idea that this is even possible, let alone in the works, is mind blowing to me
