Gibson and some other manufacturers are "Pleking" all of their guitars they sell. There are also places where you can take your guitar and have it Pleked. Pleking is becoming very competitive price wise. I don't think some of these are such great prices.

I guess it adds $200.-$300. to the price? Sweetwater must be trying out their new machine. I noticed they had a Plek'd Squire Tele too. That should make these great players for those who don't do their own setups.

I need a 6 string guitar. All positive reviews. Very tempting.

That Epi DR-500MCE is all wood too; not pressed board. Grover tuners. I don't know what $1,000.00 or $2,000.00 extra will buy other than a different shape or diff tone. Maybe the extra $ wouldn't even buy a stereo output. An aged Gibson might sound better, but some compared the Epi Acoustics to their old Gibsons, Martins, & Taylors. Worth a shot @ $599.00...
