Cool last Student brought his brand new 339 to the lesson. A dream .... this was a very nice one, a little smaler as the 335, with a bigger soundblock.
The fretboard was perfect, fast as hell. Sustain was a little meh but its still new I think it will change over time.
If you ever thought the 335 is to heavy, the 339 is a save bet.
Well done.

Doubly endorsed!! I've had one since 2009 and absolutely love it. Billed as a 335 for Les Paul players, I think it combines the best of both and is my favorite guitar for fusion, swing, traditional pop etc.

Just had the chance to play a few licks etc. but I can imagine that its usable for wide range of stiles. Compared to my old Stratocaster the tone was a little gritty but I guess the brand new strings are not that great. I gave the student a set 11th Pure-Nickel-Strings, they have more mellow tone.
