Just put a deposit on one of these and it's on the way.
Any experiences?

No experience with the AC4, but I was just recently looking at some of these mini amps online. I currently have an Epi Valve Jr. Thing is noisy when you crank it and surprisingly loud. I expected 5 watts to be quiet enough to crank up and still play while the fam is sleeping...not the case. The AC4 can scale to 1w or something right?
Out of the amps i was checking out, I was really digging the surprise sound rock block in the video clips online. Thing can crank. The cool thing about these little amps is that they don't cost much more than a pedal, so you can justify grabbing a few.

The AC4 can be switched to a quarter watt. I did like their Night Train a lot.
I'm told by the sales guys that the AC4 is a really cool amp but we'll see. If I end up using it in the studio I'll post up some clips. The other guy I play with has an AC30 CC2 and it sounds unbelievable.
Were you guys aware that all Vox products, including their handwired series is made in China?

Went with an AC15C1.
Turns out Vox discontinued the matching TV cab for the AC4 because of a factory move according to their Canadian rep. Next option was to purchase one from Sweetwater but by the time shipping was calculated I would have been paying too much. I considered going with an Egnater 112 extension, right speaker (Greenback), well built but $250.
Just when I was going to pull my hair out I saw a like new AC15 on CL and grabbed it for $475.
Sounds great to my ears. Made a profile and I'm done with this for now. I need pedals.

So you made the profile, now you sell it? Is that the deal?

As much as I am a firm believer that in a studio environment, the Kemper is the greatest, most revolutionary device to come out since the DAW it doesn't do it for me live. This guy will stay at the practice space. I may use it for recording but even with just the Kemper on tap there are an awful lot of options to go with. Both of us play Telecasters into the exact same amp but ones a Mahogany thinline and the other is an American Standard fitted with Hot Rails so they sound worlds apart to further the spread between us I'd probably mic one of them up with a 421 and the other a 57. If I split these with the Kemper I can run an overdriven Fender alongside one and my favorite Dr. Z Maz 8 Crunch along mine. Add a DI to the two of them and I can use some of the Scuffham and Lepoulin sims and also reamp once more through the Kemper. BUT, by the end of this nonsense I'm looking at 8 tracks of just double rythm guitar when what I really like to do is keep things tidy. When we start recording I will definitely document what we do extensively here. Haven't even written all the songs yet.
