Hi all.
Never had this before.
I was going to schlep the Top into the trunk of the car and bang it was on the street.
Should I try if it still works, or should I bring it to a Tech?
Cheers.
Holmes

Holmes My friend was wheeling his Mesa Triple Rec half stack down the sidewalk, hit a bump, and dropped the head off. Worked like a top. YMMV though.

Lot of Marshall's have been dropped a lot of times...
If it were me, I'd fire it right up and see how it's doing.

It was on the ground in front of our singers Toyota, she went to drive away and pushed the amp about 15 feet in the driveway. Wore the rubber feet right off the bottom. Amazing that it wasn't a catastrophe.

Chances are good that it's probably ok, for the most part. But there's about a 1 in 4 chance that tubes are cracked, a transformer may be damaged or caps may be broken or something might be crossed now or shorted out after plugging it in.
Hey, it's your life. Go ahead and take the chance if you like. I survived a 600 volt shock once, maybe you will too!

Yeah, check the tubes for obvious visual faults or unhealthy rattling first.

my 1983 jcm800 looks pretty beaten up. I gigged with it far longer than I should have, before realizing these vertical jack ones were rarer than not. I kind of want to fix the cloth, but I don't need to guess where to point the mic at this point, cause of the huge ass hole.

SVT classic.. Fell far enough to rip the biggest transformer off the metal chassis and destroy the wood box.. Built a new box and used bolts to hold the transformer.. Only needed some solder joint fixes..
