In the past I owned two tweed amps a baseman and a champ reissue.
The plug in is not bad, but its still too bad for 200$. If they would say you can have it for 50$ I would say - not bad for 50$.
But for 200$ no way. Bases are muddy, distortion feels too static or makes a too big jump when slowly hitting the strings harder.
I love some of the UAD plug ins. But this one feels like half the work was done?

You probably should spin the knobs a little more....make sure the DI level is all the way down on the Apollo....before your demo period is over.

I just cannot get any of the UAD amp sims to not make me cringe.
Or any of the other sims for that matter.
Other people seem to have more luck but that fake overdrive just puts a frown on my face and it doesn't go away until I plug into a real amp.

Really the only one that sounds decent to me. I do think the Tweed Deluxe sounds pretty realistic, but it reminds me how much I don't like Tweed Deluxes. Now, a blackface Deluxe and we're in business...and I bet it's coming.

And there is no way that the UAD plug in is even close to it. Just one example with the UAD plug in if you hit the low E String you also hear something that is an octave lower. Clean sounds are alright as soon you want something between clean a crunch the BS starts. If I switch back to my real tubes amp the sun is shining. I just ask myself why Fender is putting their well known brand on such a crap?

Well I think you're being a little hyperbolic. A real amp in a room always sounds better, but mic it up with a 57, play it back and you might not be able to tell much difference
