An extraordinary and terribly ignored influential player... and arguably the best singer who was ever with Fleetwood Mac.

Kudos for him for recognizing Travis. How many people can keep that 8th note bass note going in time while playing with their other fingers? Not many. Great player.

I spent a long time learning Landslide when I first began playing the guitar. It's a really unique way of playing. Love Lindsey Buckingham. I saw Fleetwood Mac two years ago when they came to KC, and I was astounded as to how energetic he is on stage. He looks like he keeps in very good shape.

Well, that was pretty freakin' amazing... I also saw the Mac two years ago with Christine McVie. One of the best shows I have ever seen. Buckingham was on fire; they all were, actually. Plus Mick and Stevie came out and talked to the audience after the show! An intimate gathering of 10,000. Unique, in my experience.

Lindsey, probably one of the most underrated guitarist & producers. He always said he thought his job was to take what Christy & Stevie had written and craft a song. No one is more responsible for my career as far as an early influence!

The star power is just oozing off of those tracks. The pairing with the other fleetwood mac members worked well, but Buckingham/Nicks were already fantastic.

On the first track they doubled Stevie's voice and you can really hear it, it's not tucked in under. I don't remember FM ever doing that. Strange decision for a singer/songwriter type album.

Seems pretty clear they were going for a more produced, bigger sound, at least on that track. Multiple guitar tracks spread big and wide and Stevie's voice loud and proud down the middle. I don't remember FM doing that either, but someone will probably chime in to set us straight.

This past weekend, BOC did a gig in Ojai CA, and Walter Egan was on the bill. I was talking to him after his set about his hit "Magnet And Steel," and he said Lindsey Buckingham produced it, and Stevie Nicks was one of the vocalists on the recording.
I saw Lindsey perform in Tampa about a decade ago, he was great. As a writer, I dig he uses the 4-5 progression a lot, it's a favorite of mine. Examples are Fleetwood's "Dreams" and Lindsey's "Trouble." Come to think of it, Egan's "Magnet And Steel" uses it too. I used it on the chorus of "I Love The Night."

I wouldn't have connected those dots. "I Love the Night" is maybe my favorite tune of yours, Don.
