Every guitar player knows it. Sometimes its necessary to damp neighbor strings to avoid ringing / resonances by open strings.
For my taste if there is to much ringing and I damp it the guitar can lose some of its typical guitar sound.
Removing resonances with EQs is NO FUN too and also can kill the feel of the guitar.
How do you pro AE deal with it? You keep it if you cant avoid it? You ignore it?
I mean resonance is the principle of any acoustic guitar. Its nothing else as an Helmholtz Resonator backwards.
PS: I yet have not tracked one where I could not find any resonant spot - even with true expensive ones. Even with players better than me - to make clear its not me alone.

Like salt, pepper, condoms, keyboards, ointments and brakes. Apply when necessary.

Not "every guitar player" as I have no idea what you're talking about.
